Content Description

Consists of a scrapbook with photographs, newspaper clippings, advertising leaflets, and maps detailing the operations of the Grand Teton Oil Company located eight miles west of Driggs, Idaho from 1928 to 1931. George W. Edgington (an Idaho Falls Lawyer) was the president, Christian Vrang the geologist and Roy C. Zuver was the superintendent. Most of the photos show the drilling rig and operators of the rig (Blevins #1 and Blevins #2) but also includes photos of fishing. Some of the photos are loose. A few maps also included in the scrapbook. "Return to F.L. Waller, Portland, Oregon" written on the inner side of the scrapbook. This scrapbook illustrates a little known example of oil production and exploration for Southwest Idaho.
