Joseph Smith research files, 1839-1841

 File — Box: 4

Scope and Contents

From the Collection:

This collection contains the original draft of Bradley’s book, Zion’s Camp 1834: A Prelude to the Civil War . It also includes several boxes, organized chronologically, that contain research he did about the life of Joseph Smith. This material was collected circa 1990, however, the dates in the inventory reflect the years in Smith’s life that Bradley documented. One item in the collection, a letter from Rhett James, suggests that Bradley was working on a book about Joseph Smith’s life, but it is unclear whether or not it was ever published.
