The Willis and Wayment family papers
Scope and Contents
This collection consists of Willis and Wayment family history materials in the form of correspondence, diaries, family photos, family pedigrees and biographies (many of these materials were donated as photocopies). In most instances, the donor has also provided a typed copy for each original letter. The collection is arranged in chronological order.

Biographical Note
Samuel Willis was born on August 13, 1876 in Toquerville, Utah to Nancy Cedenia Bagley Willis and Merrill Erastus Willis.
Mary Jane Wayment was born on May 8, 1889 in Salt Creek (now Warren), Utah to English immigrants Joseph Wayment and Ann Reed Wayment.
Samuel Willis and Mary Jane Wayment Willis were married September 18, 1901 in Salt Lake City and had two children: Nina Willis Kingston, born on January 29, 1904 and Sylvia Willis Averett, born on November 26, 1905.
