Newton Literary Club records
Scope and Contents
This collection consists of the minute books of the Newton Ladies Literary Club from 1939 until 1988 when they were donated to the library. The books contain information on who attended the meetings, who had paid the club dues, the officers of the club, and the proceedings of the meetings. The minutes are organized by date.

Biographical Note
The Newton Ladies Literary Club was organized in February of 1939 and met continuously for 46 years. The club was involved in many community projects and it promoted uplifting literature.
