Biographical Note
Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on January 22, 1886, Nancy Clarabell "Claire" Smith was the older sister of George Albert Smith, eighth president of Te Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She attended school for social work in Baltimore and continued being a social worker until her retirement around 1951. Claire died ten years later on March 4, 1961.
