Rhett James collection
Scope and Contents
This collection consists largely of Rhett James's teaching and research files. They contain articles, lectures, and subject files that address topics like Latter-day Saints history and Native American history. Of particular interest are the files concerning the Martin Harris pageant, which are housed in boxes 57, 58, and 62. The contents and labeling of the folders generally reflects the way that James himself had organized them."

Biographical Note
Rhett S. James was a teacher for the Logan, Utah, Institute of the Church of Latter-day Saints for 27 years. He is the author of the book and pageant “Martin Harris: The Man Who Knew.” James received his B.A. in 1964 from Washingtion State University and later received a M.A. at Utah State University in 1991 and 1995. From 1968 to 1970 he supervised the training of the first seminary and institute teachers in New Zealand and later became a professor at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Business College.
