Lincoln Ellison photograph collection
Scope and Contents
The Lincoln Ellison photograph collection consists of over a thousand slides of Utah, Idaho, Nevada, and Colorado, as well as Australia and New Zealand. Also included are several pages of lecture outlines, notes, and a few forestry journals. Most of these images are of plants, landscapes, family, and travel. Quite a few images were used for lectures about forestry. The slides from Australia, New Zealand, and the Wasatch front are associated with his lecture notes.

Biographical Note
Lincoln Ellison worked for the U.S Forestry Service between the 1930s and 1950s. He directed the Great Basin experiment station in Ephraim Utah, and later the Ogden region range research program. He later went to Australia on a Fulbright scholarship to study mountain ranges. In 1956 he worked in New Zealand.
