Historical Note
Beaver Theodosakis and his wife Pam founded prAna in Carlsbad, California in 1992. Their goal for prAna was to produce sustainably made clothing for outdoor recreation, specifically for yoga and climbing gear, with commitment to responsible sourcing, sustainability, and the outdoor recreation community. The first pieces of prAna clothing were sewn and tagged with labels created from recycled paper by Beaver and Pam in the Theodosakis’ garage. After two decades of growth, Columbia Sportwear obtained prAna in 2014.
