Content Description
This collection contains patent and trademark files, business operations and general office documents, product design sketches and correspondence, marketing/sales and campaign materials, and photographs. These materials trace the partnership with W.L. Gore and Associates to introduce some of the first breathable Gore-Tex fishing waders, replacing traditional neoprene products.

Biographical / Historical
Simms Fishing Products was founded by fishing guide John Simms in 1980. The company was originally based in Jackson, Wyoming, but later moved to Bozeman, Montana, after its acquisition by K.C. Walsh in 1992. Simms focuses on creating quality fishing waders, vests, boots, outerwear, and other gear for fishing. They are regarded as particularly innovative in the field of breathable waders and have won multiple awards, both regionally and nationally
