Biographical / Historical
Sport Chalet was a popular chain of sporting goods "superstores" founded in 1959. At its peak, the company operated 47 locations across California, Arizona, Nevada, and Utah. The retailer permanently closed all physical stores and its online shop in 2016. Ryan Overstake, a former buyer for the Paddlesports division of Sport Chalet, is currently the principal sales representative and founder of Hi Altitude Sales & Consulting.
