This collection contains design files, illustrations, photographs, and packaging from Dana Design and Mystery Ranch, two companies specializing in backpacks and outdoor gear. Most of these items appear to have been used in creating catalogs or other marketing materials.

Biographical / Historical
Dana’s Designs was an outdoor gear designer specializing in backpacks. The company was founded by Dana Gleason and Renee Sippel-Baker in 1985, where they were headquartered in Bozeman, Montana. K2 acquired Dana Designs in 1995 as well as Wilderness Experience, another label that Dana Gleason designed for. In 2006, Dana Designs closed permanently after Gleason and Sippel-Baker left K2. Gleason and Sippel- Baker then went on to found Mystery Ranch in 2000, also based out of Bozeman, where they produce backpacks for the military and wildland firefighting services as well as for hunters and general outdoor use.
