Biographical / Historical
When the College of Business and Social Sciences, a predecessor to the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business, was created in 1957, the School of Accountancy was a program within the Department of Business Administration. In 1966, the program became the Department of Accounting. Around 1984-1986, the department name changed to the School of Accountancy.
As of 2025, the School of Accountancy operates out of the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business.
