Chris Cokinos book drafts
Scope and Contents
The collection consists of materials relating to climate change, correspondence, articles written by Mr. Cokinos, interviews, poetry, rejection letters from various publications, employment information, television show scripts for Star Trek, various articles relating to poetry, philosophy and literature collected by Mr. Cokinos, reviews of his books, materials from his tenure at Texas Tech, papers written for classes and conferences, photos, drafts of books, materials relating to their publication including royalties, and a great deal of materials about the poet Robinson Jeffers. However, the bulk of these papers consists of materials relating to astronomy, Professor Harvey H. Nininger, meteorites and asteroids, various impact sites in Arizona, Kansas, Nebraska, and New Mexico. It also contains materials about pigeons, a large history of Lower Scioto Valley Ohio, materials regarding various extinct species of birds including the passenger pigeon, Carolina parakeet, ivory-billed woodpecker, and others.

Biographical Note
Chris Cokinos was an English professor at Utah State University before he left for the University of Arizona in 2011. There he serves as an associate professor in the Department of English and the Institute of the Environment.
