Staff-Rip Rapping
Rip rapping is a technic used to build up the levies of lakes and streams in order to increase or preserve the vegetation. This was done at the refuge by dumping rocks into and along side the various water ways.
Staff-Banding
Banding is a way of tracking the migratory patterns of birds. Bands are attached to the birds' legs in order to identify them as having spent time at the refuge.
